| Look Within the Heart by Lily Trumpp |
Lily participated in this year's nationwide
PTA Reflections program by submitting a canvas painting in this year's theme
"Look Within". Students were invited to create a work of art in one of the following categories: Visual Art, Music Composition, Photography, Film, Literature/Writing, and Dance Choreography. Lily's work "Look Within the Heart" featured a red heart and the word LOVE. Her artist's statement:
"For me, LOVE is probably the strongest word in the world. You will find love if you L-ook within the heart, haven an O-pen mind, & are V-ery caring, at E-very moment of your life. This is what love means to me. So, when you look within, you look within the heart, and you see love." Lily's painting was displayed at the Reflections Art Exhibit at school this Friday night. She didn't feel well, so she actually didn't go to the exhibition, but I really wanted to see it, and went with Ennio. This was a school-wide event, and there were also works from other grade students. I was very impressed with some of the works of the younger students!
