September Activities

Lots of birthday parties, a movie screening, Girl Scouts activities, the PTA's Pancake Breakfast at school, my UCLA Law School Reunion, and I am not even mentioning the usual (boring) stuff, like medical appointments, teacher meetings, tutoring and social skills sessions,...
We like to keep it busy (says the person who would much rather prefer a chill-out weekend at home)!

Here are some photos of (some of) our September activities.

Child of the Earth movie screening (September 9), a short documentary for which Marcus wrote the music. A very touching movie, definitely worth seeing! After having lunch with Claudio and his family, we went to see Pamela, who lives nearby, and had a fun afternoon with her and her little boy Jacob. He is such a cutie - Marcus took some great photos!

Wall paper at the restaurant! It was a 50's diner.

Girl Scouts Prep Work for Mount Washington Pancake Breakfast (September 22), the school's annual fundraising activity

Pancake Breakfast Day!

Lily and her friend Pearl. Lily volunteered at the breakfast as part of her Girl Scouts community engagement.

At the parking lot of our local library, Ennio saw this Tesla and was practically glued to it!!! He loves Tesla cars (even asked if he could have his next birthday party at the Tesla Store 😂), but for now he will have to do with our Prius Prime!

An electric car is certainly useful in L.A. traffic! I'm saving tons on gas!

UCLA Law Reunion (September 29). It was so good to reconnect with Carolina and Andres, who flew in from Chile to attend the reunion!!!

Just some nice shots of our favorite kitty Stella and the flowers in our neighborhood!

Queen Mary visit

Today we visited the Queen Mary with Ennio's friend Ford and his family. It was their birthday present for Ennio, and had taken us so long to find a date that would work for both our families!
We had brunch first at Restauration in Long Beach and then headed to the boat. Ennio was over-the-moon excited! What a fun day!

We shall see!

Getting into the groove in the music studio!

Today, we had to be in  the Valley and took the opportunity to visit our friend Mark who has his music studio in Agoura Hills. We were only able to stay for about an hour, and the kids loved it! They got to try some of the instruments in the studio (drums, guitars, etc) and couldn't get enough of it. It was hard to drag them out! It's great to see them enjoy music so much, but NO, we are not getting them a drumkit :-)
