The solar system according to Lily!

Karate try-out!

Ennio did a try-out session of American Kenpo Karate last night (that's why he is in blue, I hadn't purchased a uniform yet since we were just trying). He seemed excited, even though he had a hard time focusing and listening to the teachers, because he kept on running back to me, saying "I need a white jacket!" So, we will try again next week (with a white jacket!) and if it works out, I'll sign him up as a "mighty tiger" for the next few weeks!

Food for kids

Tonight's dinner: sandwich faces!
Shredded carrots for the hair, Laughing Cow cheese spread on the bread slice, Mini Babybel cheeses for the ears, red grapes for the eyes and earrings, a little cube of mozzarella string cheese for the nose, a slice of avocado for the mouth, and some rotisserie chicken breast for the neck. It was great fun to make these, I just improvised as I went along (just looked what was still laying around in the fridge). And best of all... the kids ate almost everything!
