Our own little courtyard and house :-) Last week, on June 16, we successfully closed escrow and now OWN a house!!! Woohoo! We're sooooo happy it all worked out in the end! It was stressful at times, to say the least, but thanks to our agent, Sorenna Sacket, and an excellent mortgage broker, Mark Cohen, we were able to close the deal!
Now we're busy busy busy going through our stuff, packing boxes and getting ready for the big move, which is planned for July 10. We also have to switch our gas, water and electricity accounts, telephone and internet, DMV and IRS records,... There's so much to think of, I'm sure we will forget things, but for now, we are just very happy that it is all happening! Who would have thought a year ago that now we'd have a baby and a house! Lots of changes, but it all feels good!
In the meantime, Marcus had his very first Father's Day! Lily brought home from daycare her very first piece of art and handed it to him with a smile on Sunday. A colorful men's shirt and tie made from a paper plate, so simple but so cute!
