First smile caught on camera!

Yesterday, at Neave's birthday party, I was able to catch Lily's smile on camera. Sooo happy it finally worked out! Usually I am too late or the picture's totally blurry or she decides she smiled enough, etc. But now I got the perfect pic!

We had a great time at Neave's party. Little Miss Lennertz (check out her daddy's website, he's a very talented composer!) turned 1 and had invited a whole bunch of friends to celebrate with her (Lily was the littlest one!).

We enjoyed Stromboli, made by her daddy, for lunch, and birthday cake as dessert. Yummy!!!

Neave's first birthday cake. She seemed a little bit overwhelmed! Luckily Chris and Shannon, her parents, were right beside her to help sing and blow out the candle!

Lily and I joined the festivities at the table.

You can tell Neave is the daughter of a musician. Here she shows off her piano!

Lily got to meet lots of other kids. She spent a lot of time observing Kiley (6 months) and Avery (3 years) and their parents Tammy and Kevin. From left to right: Tammy, Kiley, Avery, Kevin, Marcus and Lily.

After the party, Marcus, Lily and I decided to go for a walk in the neighborhood. The weather was absolutely beautiful! Since we were in Playa Del Rey, we walked over to the Marina and watched the boats sailing in.

Watching the boats.

Lily and mommy's and daddy's shadows. We love the California sun!

We drove home and got ready to have dinner with our friends Barbara & Peter and Hilde & Stefaan. We gave Lily her bath, put on her pj's and sleepsack, put her in the stroller and walked over to Barbara & Peter's. She was so knocked out, she slept the entire evening! That way, we could really enjoy our food and company. What a girl!

Dus in een notendop, echt een dag om door een ringetje te halen!!!

Groetjes,
Ilse
